At Luminate Tuition, we believe that every student has the potential to shine, helping turn their academic goals into realities. Our mission is to not only provide high-quality, effective tuition, but more importantly shape our students into becoming diligent, well-rounded individuals.
Our Story
The tuition sphere is filled with a plenitude of companies each instilling a certain style or structural approach amongst their students. This poses a major issue – students answer questions without actually knowing the conceptual reasons which underline their responses. As a result, there is a common struggle with difficult questions – familiarity with application of rigid structures fails to equip students the knowledge required to approach new questions, which go beyond mere application.
Leveraging our years of teaching experience at various companies, we realised the plethora of unachieved potential amongst students, not because they weren’t capable, rather they had become disillusioned by the allure of high marks promised through memorising and applying structuralised responses.
Luminate Tuition aims to fill this void, tackling the commonality of rote learning and preparing heavily rigid structural responses by helping students truly understand the 'why' behind their work. Our beliefs are simple: Students can only go so far by blindly applying a structure without actually understanding the significance behind their actions.
Thus, this brings us to our main goal. To share our expertise through providing students with greater clarity and understanding of concepts, going beyond memorisation of structures to illuminate how to approach questions.

Small, focused classes
In a traditional classroom, students are often reluctant to ask questions or openly express their difficulties. At Luminate Tuition, we believe that quality learning thrives in small groups. By capping our classes at a maximum of 6 students, we are able to ensure that teachers are more readily able each student with the individual attention and tailored support they require to succeed.

We believe that students’ education is fundamentally shaped by those who guide them. That creative spark, that source of ignition can very easily be provided by teachers. That is why our passionate teachers go beyond simply teaching content, we want to truly spark an interest and excitement amongst our students, to not only excel academically, but more importantly create passionate, self-determined individuals.
