"At the start of Year 10, I wasn't sure if I was going to Band 6 English, given Normanhurst Boys traditionally had a Band 6 rate of about 20% (top 25-30) in the grade, and I was ranked 60+. However, after receiving tutoring from Jackdiish, my English skills dramatically improved. He would break down each topic through using the syllabus as a guideline to ensure that we could respond to any question thrown at us. He also constantly gave feedback on our English essays, guiding us to actually improve at essay writing and not just writing the whole thing for us to regurgitate. After guidance from Jackdiish, I realised that my biggest mistake was not approaching him earlier to tutor me. Every student that he had from Normanhurst (including me) achieved a Band 6 in English which is a testament to the incredible skill that he has in coaching students to achieve well in HSC English. Furthermore, Jackdiish also helped me holistically for all my subjects, giving tips and tricks to ace my other subjects, allowing me to attain high 90's in Maths X1, X2 and Chemistry, helping me achieve my ATAR of 99.5+.
